*講者簡介：

區結成醫生，老人科和康復科醫生，美國布朗大學醫學博士，服務香港公共醫療三十多年。2016 年從醫管局退休，最後的崗位是醫管局質素及安全總監。區醫生於 2017 年 3 月加入香港中文大學，現任中文大學生命倫理學中心總監。區醫生亦從事寫作，以筆名「區聞海」在《明報》、《信報》等寫副刊專欄多年，出版散文集七本。近年出版人文著作，包括：《醫院筆記：時代與人》（2016）、《當我用心寫：一個醫生的十年記》（2017）、《有詩的時候》（2017）。

*Speaker’s Biography

Dr. Derrick Au, a specialist in gerontology and rehabilitation, received his Medical Doctor degree at Brown University, USA. He had been serving in the Hong Kong public healthcare sector for more than 30 years and retired from the position of Director (Quality and Safety) of the Hospital Authority in 2016. Dr. Au joined The Chinese University of Hong Kong as the Director of CUHK Centre for Bioethics in March 2017. On top of his medical profession, Dr. Au has been writing newspaper columns in Ming Pao and Hong Kong Economic Journal in the pen name of “Au Man-hoi” for many years. He has published seven volumes of essays and a number of books on humanities, which include, inter alia, 《醫院筆記：時代與人》(2016),《當我用心寫：一個醫生的十 年記》(2017),《有詩的時候》(2017).
