A Walk in Community with I·CARE (4th Session): Cycling Guided Tour and Sharing from Ex-drug Abusers



The 4th session of this academic year’s A Walk in Community with I·CARE will collaborate with Cheer Lutheran Centre* to conduct a cycling tour around Sheung Shui (guided tour spots include Bok Man School at Tsung Pak Long Village and Long Valley Wetland, etc.). Ex-drug abusers will serve as docents, and they will also recount their anti-drug experience throughout their rehabilitation journey. Details are as follows:


Date : 11 March 2023 (Saturday)

Time : 2:00 to 6:00 pm

Language : Cantonese (supplementary with English)

Quota : 10

Target : Undergraduate and full-time research postgraduate students

Fee : Free of charge

Deposit : HK$100 (refunded upon attendance on the event day)

Remark : i) The cycling guided tour will last for 2 to 3 hours. Participants must be able to ride a bicycle. Please take general body condition into consideration before registration.

ii) The bicycles will be provided by Cheer Lutheran Centre*.


*Cheer Lutheran Center is one of the counselling centres for psychotropic substance abusers subsidised by the Social Welfare Department and has been operating since 1998. It is now serving the North and Tai Po districts on individual and group counselling, preventive drug education for secondary schools, outreach services, medical and family support, professional training and community education.
