"Student Development Portfolio" showcases students’ experiential learning achievements

Contributor: Tiffany Lau

The Student Development Portfolio (SDP) is a university-wide electronic platform for capturing and presenting students’ Experiential Learning Activities (ELA) under the whole-person development framework namely I·CARE. It facilitates students’ viewing, choosing and enrolment of the ELA organised by the University units (UELA), as well as production and update of reports to showcase their non-formal learning achievements. A shortcut to understand the SDP is an animation trailer which can be viewed from here.

Every year, the I·CARE Centre for Whole-person Development (I·CARE Centre) issues a free copy of “Report of Experiential Learning Activities” to the immediate graduates to better prepare their career development and further studies. To ensure that the graduates’ information will be fully incorporated into their respective reports, all University units that organise ELA are requested to complete all records of the UELA of its unit and upload the participants’ lists of all checked UELA of its unit to the SDP platform timely. For units that organise UELA but have not registered as a user of the SDP yet, please visit here to create account by downloading the proforma and returning the completed copy to the I·CARE Centre via fax at 3942 0937 or email at sdportfolio@cuhk.edu.hk.

All full-time undergraduate students and representatives of the University units using SDP can login the platform at here. For more information about the SDP, please click here to visit its website.
