The Sharing Session on Strategies of Promoting Social Enterprise Missions cum Award Presentation Ceremony under the I·CARE Social Enterprise Startup Scheme was successfully held on 16 February 2023. Mr. Chong Chan-yau, Co-founder & CEO of CarbonCare InnoLab, was invited to share his experience in operating social enterprises and promoting social missions. He also exchanged ideas and insights with students who are interested in developing social enterprises. Awarded teams of CUSE Fund of last year, namely SoIN Connect and Gentle Kids also shared their respective experiences on supporting social enterprises to promote business and nurturing children's moral character through innovative and sustainable solutions.

In addition, the teams now competing for the seed money from the CUSE Fund of this year attended the screening interviews on 7 February 2023. The list of awardees will be determined after the 11 shortlisted teams have completed their business plans under the guidance of experienced mentors and participated in the Presentation Day.

The I·CARE Social Enterprise Startup Scheme has been encouraging CUHK students and recent graduates to make good use of their expertise to establish or expand their social enterprises. A total of 15 teams have hitherto received funding totalling more than HK$1.4 million from the scheme.
