I·CARE Community Research Scheme 2021-22: Homeless Community Walk

The I·CARE Community Research Scheme aims to deepen students’ understanding of the deprived communities and to foster their curiosity to explore ways of civic participation through small-scale research.

In this academic year, the scheme will co-host the “Homeless Community Walk” with “Mobile I·CARE – Small-group Reunion”. Led by Professor Wong Hung, Department of Social Work, who has continuously researched on the local homeless issue, participants will have a brief interaction with the homeless people and observe their living environment. Prof. Wong will also share findings of his latest city-wide homeless census, and inspire participants to ponder on the complex social reality behind “homelessness”.
